Join the Salem Audubon Society and Willamette Riverkeeper for a birding walk at Gail Achterman Wildlife Area. This property is home to one of the most important riparian forests on the entirety of the Willamette River, and it has been a focus of active work by both organizations for several years. This free birding excursion is a fantastic opportunity to catch the tail end of spring migration and learn about how floodplain restoration is critical to the future of our state’s avifauna.
