Giving Basics
Will I receive a receipt? Yes, all donations, no matter the size, will receive a receipt. Online donors receive an email receipt. Donors who give by mail or other offline methods receive a mailed receipt.
Is my donation tax deductible? Yes, WRK is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS and the State of Oregon. Our EIN is 93-1212629. All donations are tax-deductible (minus any gifts received based on your level of giving).
Can I donate in another currency? We currently accept donations in U.S. dollars only.
Can I dedicate my gift in honor or memory of someone? Yes, when making a donation online, you can add make the gift in honor or in the memory of someone, just list their name and contact information in the appropriate box.
Can I direct my gift to a specific program or project? Yes! We'd be happy to talk with you about supporting a specific program or area of our work. Contact Heather King, or include your preference when making your donation online.
Is my online donation secure? Yes. We use a secure online payment processor to protect your personal and financial information.
Will you sell my information? No! WRK does not engage in buying or selling donor information.
The Ripple Collective (monthly Giving)
How do I join the Ripple Collective? Joining the Ripple Collective is easy! Simply select Monthly on our online donation form and become part of a community of supporters creating lasting change for the Willamette River.
How do I increase my monthly gift? Please contact Heather King and she will adjust it in our database.
How do I cancel or change my ripple collective monthly donation? Send an email to Heather King and she will adjust it in our database.
Smart & Savvy Giving
Can I give through a Donor-Advised Fund? Yes, contact your financial advisor and let them know you want to donate to WRK. You can find more information here.
Can I donate stock? Yes, contact your financial advisor and let them know you want to donate stock to WRK. You can contact Heather King for more information.
Can I make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA gift)? Yes, contact your financial advisor and let them know you want to donate to WRK. More information can be found here.
Does my employer offer matching gifts? Many employers match charitable donations, allowing your gift to go even further. Check with your employer's HR department or workplace giving program, or contact us and we'll be happy to help.
